Get ready for the Maldon 5K Handicap Series 2026!

Five Thursday evenings of friendly competition, personal challenge, and the supportive atmosphere Tiptree Road Runners are known for. Whether you’re chasing a personal best or simply looking for a fun, well-organised race series, the Maldon 5k is open to runners able to complete 5km in 40 minutes or less.

Race 1: Thu 23 Apr | Race 2: Thu 14 May | Race 3: Thu 4 Jun | Race 4: Thu 25 Jun | Race 5: Thu 16 Jul

Registration

Entries opened on Saturday 14 February 2026 at 14:00 and the series sold out in just six minutes. Thank you to everyone who entered.

If you missed out, you can add your name to the official waiting list. If places become available due to withdrawals, they will be offered automatically in waiting list order.

Runners who need to withdraw can release their place through the registration system. Once the place is taken up by someone on the waiting list, a refund will be issued. No deferrals to 2027 will be available.

Entry covers the full five-race series. Fees remain the same as 2025: £12 for affiliated runners and £14 for non-affiliated runners, with a small booking fee (approximately £1) added at checkout.

Supporting Local Charities

We’re excited to share that the Maldon 5k will support the Maldon & District Sea Cadets this year. A donation from the event’s profits will go directly to the group, helping them continue their work developing skills, confidence and teamwork in local young people.

In addition, runners will have the option to make a voluntary donation when registering for the series, or at any time by clicking on Donate Now above. The Maldon 5k has always aimed to be more than just a race. Thank you for helping us keep it rooted in our local community!
